Is getting paid by cheque an issue for tourist visa application for schengen us uk or canada? Most people get paid by bank transfer in my country.

1Which country are you applying from? Shouldn’t be a problem in theory, providing you have an employment contract and payslips as evidence. Last tax return might be helpful too.– TravellerCommented Sep 21 at 9:05

1As long as you deposit your cheque into your bank account every month it shouldn’t be an issue.– jcaronCommented Sep 21 at 11:16

So i wud like to apply for a uk tourist visa. Is it ok if i deposit my paycheck on a different date every month. Mostly after the 20th of every month– SamCommented Nov 16 at 20:52

Visa officers don't care whether your salary is by cheque or bank transfer. But they do care if your salary is recorded rather than not recorded.
So if you paid your pay cheque into your bank account every week, then your pay amounts will show up in your bank account and they will be fine. Likewise if you kept all the paycheques and can send them to immigration, or if you kept your payslips for this period.
However if you took all those paycheques and turned them into cash, and don't have the payslips, then there will be no record of your pay and you will have trouble, since you will be unable to demonstrate what your salary is.

Is it possible to provide a payslip for unpaid leave if i havent received salary for a month?– user147118Commented Oct 14 at 6:03

Yea. I can get one since its a business owned by my dad. So will it suffice to show the month with unpaid leave with a payslip for usa b2 visa if asked for?– user147118Commented Oct 16 at 16:19

Nobody knows it it will 'suffice'. But it's better than not having any kind of explanation for why you got no pay. Note that being employed by your father, and being able to take a month off unpaid, makes your case worse than if you had a regular job. Because your father clearly doesn't need you in his business (since he can give you a month off) and you don't need the money (because you can take a month unpaid) therefore neither you nor he will suffer if you decide to stay illegally in the US when you get there, and you've got little incentive to come home. I think youre goin a little over board with things there. A lot of people work in family businesses. And i have got a schengen visa recently with an noc from the company and payslip signed by my dad. Infact it gives a more convincing economic tie to the country since i am part of the business.plus i have visited the USA twice without overstay– user147118Commented Oct 18 at 17:44
