Do I need a single entry or a multiple entry Schengen if I am travelling on a Disney cruise that starts in Barcelona and then calls on ports in France then Italy?

If the cruise does not call at any port outside the Schengen area, a single-entry visa should be enough as no border checks are required in this case (cf. annex VI of the Schengen Borders code).

  • It is known that the cruise ship company may have stricter rules in place and might refuse you to enter the cruise.

@ghellquist Do you have any source to back that up? Commented Aug 1 at 8:25

@ghellquist Do you have specific examples in mind? I am not saying there has never been any issues, I have no idea, but as I wrote as far as the law is concerned, a single-entry visa should be enough. So requiring anything else would not be a “stricter” rule, it would be an arbitrary requirement.

  • One example, not exactly the same but still be warned, is provided by the Youtube channel "Tips för travellers", specifically this episode:youtube.com/watch?v=cYAvq9v85EA
