if your H1b is expired or otherwise revoked you'll have to follow the visa procedures for whatever your actual home country is (thus, what's on your passport). Heck, wouldn't surprise me if you have to do that anyway, regardless of having a residence permit for whatever other country.– jwentingCommented Nov 8 at 10:24

Even if this is possible, I wouldn't recommend it, based on my experiences with turkish border authorities' failure to understand nuances of foreign immigration policies.– aveCommented Nov 8 at 10:54
