@NuclearWang you are right you should try and keep left as much as possible, however in some places that isnt always easy, when I was driving around LA the way roads were joining and splitting off all the time made it more difficult to keep left. However the point I was making was to expect it, as its quite rare in the UK even if you are in the wrong lane.
Wow @Fattie, PIN at a pump that will be like heaven :-) Last time I was over in the US (Last October), finding PIN anywhere was unusual but I could see it was improving.
While going Business Class is generally a good idea, check out the seat sizes before doing so, Club Europe (BA's European business class) seats are exactly the same size as the economy ones, but you are guaranteed a spare seat next to you. While this sounds great a lot of the seats the armrest doesn't move (I believe they do on the aisle seats)
Seconded on using RoadTrippers. Although I would suggest changing the default "Distance from route" slider I tend to find it can suggest items well off your route if you don't change it, I tend to lower it to 20 miles.
