Im employed in UK and resides here.My wife, an Indian national, has also joined me recenly in UK on visa type as "dependent of UK resident” or spouse Visa. She is current unemployed. She is applying for her tourist Schengen Visa via France Consulate in London. As she is dependent on me, I’ll be providing the required documents such as letter from my employer, my recent 3 months’ payslips, last 3 months’ bank statements and my passport. She will be providing her passport, 2 photographs in required format, our marriage certificate, travel booking details and accommodation confirmation details.

My query is: Does she need to provide her own UK bank statement for last 3 months AND do we need to show sufficient fund in her bank account? As Im sponsoring her trip, is that required at all?

In light of the fact that I am sponsoring her trip, my questions are:

• Does she need to provide her own UK bank statement for the last three months?
• Do we need to show sufficient funds in her bank account?
