If you googled it do not read it. If you read it, well, what did you expect. Although, the writing style is excellent " The surgeon was ex-Army, and averaged about eight words and two facial expressions a week. "

Looks awkward, but it works. For instance, in Morocco they use dove poo to process (tanning) leather, and they will provide you peppermint leaves to visiting tourists.
Mar 24, 2017 at 14:00 | comment | added | Thorsten S. | @user568458 I am backpacking for longer times in more isolated areas, meaning that I am not able to take a hot shower. From experience I can tell you that unfortunately cold water is not particularly effective in removing body odors, even with soap, so do not expect that a toilet sink is an immediate solution.

Mar 24, 2017 at 10:23 | comment | added | user56reinstatemonica8 | @congusbongus Maybe if the stinky passenger sees the passengers around them putting on actual plague doctor masks, they will take the hint and us the sink in the toilets for a quick wash...
Mar 24, 2017 at 7:49 | comment | added | Quantum spaghettification | In the past I have used vanilla extract, dabbed under the nose - this works well.
Mar 24, 2017 at 6:57 | comment | added | Nitish | A person with a sensitive nose might not be comfortable with the smell of Tiger balm for too long.
Mar 24, 2017 at 3:47 | comment | added | congusbongus | This is the same solution that nurses use (depending on locale, Vicks may be more common than Tiger Balm). Also similar to plague doctor masks.
Mar 23, 2017 at 22:38 | comment | added | Thorsten S. | @mzu Sometimes you can suck menthol drops and numb the nose from the inside, but if it goes on for hours....Menthol/eukalyptus has the advantage that you can always say that you are afraid of a cold...<cough><cough>
