I'm a Brit and I love rice. If practicable, I normally 'spoon' it with a fork held in my right hand, even in an expensive restaurant. If othersother Brits are offended, that's their problem. I probably wouldn't do it in front of the Queen, though, but that particular situation has never arisen. I have yet to master the skill of eating rice with chopsticks. I must eat out more.
