Aug 4, 2016 at 8:39 comment added Chris Personally I would recommend either taking out electronics as if it were a laptop or else asking one of the people working there (assuming compatible language). You'll never get in trouble for taking them out and if they see lots of electronics (especially ones that don't seem to be in any kind of device) they may well decide to investigate your bags further.

Jun 16, 2016 at 18:21 comment added user4188 Not in this case. Most product listed here are old (indeed, neither the L2201x nor the AOC E2351F is manufactured any longer and the 23150 tripod seems to be on its last legs) and the industry is not exactly moving in the direction of solving these problems.

Jun 15, 2016 at 6:45 comment added The Wandering Coder I got stopped a month ago at NRT because there were too many chargers in my bag (x5). They made me remove the Laptop, 2 tablets, cords and the pocket keyboard. Maybe my cables looked like they were attached to something slightly more... prone to explosion?

Jun 15, 2016 at 6:32 comment added user4188 "I'll also be putting my monitor in my backpack" -- I have addressed that part but I added a (small) bit on scanning.
Jun 15, 2016 at 4:13 comment added The Wandering Coder This doesn't seem to answer the OPs questions (Is this ok or is this not safe enough for my harddrive/GPU?) or (Do I have to take out the computer parts when they are scanning bags?), but instead answers a possible way of taking it safely. You may wish to include answers to those in your answer.
