Dec 15, 2017 at 15:22 | comment | added | BritishSam | My girlfriend visited me for 4 months without any problems, we even went to europe, she got questioned a bit more coming back in after that as if she was trying to reset the clock but shed only been in the uk like a month before we went for a trip. Her border story sounded a lot nicer than the border officer I got when visiting her in the USA for 3 months, i got questioned way more! As long as he's honest and got nothing to hide there should not be a problem

Aug 18, 2015 at 16:24 | comment | added | CMaster | I've rolled back the question to a previous revision, as the edit changes the nature of a previously answered question. Go ahead and ask a new question with the changed circumstances.

Many passenger for instance didn't do all the things by the book; but somehow forget to mention this when they share this on blogs, etc. Furthermore we're talking about the UK and the US, two economically developed countries, etc. so that will make matters more easy.

He also owns a house Use that to show he needs to fix it, or needs to get back to sell it or take care of it.
