I believe they should be passing on the information to UKBA, or might be just asking for it to follow the rules. I am pretty sure you will have to furnish the information during check in. They don't do an exit check so mightn't be that important, but not sure. But you willn't be allowed to check in to a flight coming into UK without a proper visa. | |
