If anyone could suggest a photo of any other small meal, I'll be more than happy to replace it. Downvoting for this I find abusive. Nowhere does the question or caption text say it's not a breakfast. Personally I don't know what it is. I have been served "meals" like this during in the afternoon as well.

Dec 7, 2018 at 10:46 | comment | added | AndyT | I've never thought the meals were small, personally. And I can eat a lot. But they feed you every 4 hours anyway; when I'm feeding myself I'll go 6 hours between meals - on that basis it wouldn't be surprising if each meal is small.

Dec 7, 2018 at 8:39 | comment | added | Pont | In the case of the specific photo you've posted, it's because it's the breakfast meal on a Delta JFK-LHR flight. Breakfast is generally a lighter meal than lunch or dinner. The mail meal on the same flight is more substantial.
