Aug 14, 2018 at 16:51 | comment | added | Mike Harris | One way to get to Ireland without taking a plane or ship is to be born there, but I assume your sister missed that opportunity.
Aug 8, 2018 at 3:29 | comment | added | IMil | @Neinstein Yes, spaceship seems to me the most practical option. Become a space tourist, fly to the ISS, then deorbit the Soyuz so that it lands in Ireland. Would probably have to pay for a lot of damage though: these guys land in desert for a good reason.

Aug 7, 2018 at 22:54 | comment | added | SJuan76 | Your sister can wait for the next glacial period and simply walk over the glaciers and the land bridge with Europe. It may take a while, specially in the face of global warming. It will be advisable for her to bring a sweater.

Aug 7, 2018 at 21:54 | comment | added | David Richerby | @RToyo OK but ten seconds with Google Maps confirms that there are no bridges or tunnels to Ireland.
Aug 7, 2018 at 21:49 | comment | added | RToyo | @DavidRicherby Bridges and tunnels are two other practical ways of crossing water, so the OP has only eliminated half of the practical options. However, in the case of Ireland, those two options are not available, and I think that Hilmar's answer ("Ireland is an island") addresses all practical options.
Aug 7, 2018 at 21:45 | comment | added | Neinstein | Well, you can use a helicopter (or a spaceship, technically, if you are rich enough, Elon Musk rich)...

Aug 7, 2018 at 20:16 | comment | added | bdesham | @DavidRicherby To the extent that the question is “Is there a way to do it,” the question seems eminently answerable ;-)
Aug 7, 2018 at 20:04 | comment | added | David Richerby | I'm voting to close this question because it is unanswerable. Ireland is an island. The only way to get there is by crossing water and the question forbids the only two practical ways of crossing water.
