I don't think most level-headed people would hold a grudge against americans/russians for what the american/russian regimes have done.

It's worth considering that your hosts will be 10x more on guard about anything happening to you when it's business, than if they were friends. If anything happened to you, even just being ripped off in a taxi, they may worry it would sour the relationship you have.
Feb 26, 2018 at 11:26 comment added alamar I would argue against getting a rental car. There's snow, the traffic and rules are confusing, and there's paid parking in the city that's not easy to figure out. Use ride-hailing apps or public transit.
