French Guiana (Guyane française) is an overseas region of France. It is located on the northern coast of South America, north of brazil and east of suriname. The official and main language is French, with many other languages spoken locally. The currency is the Euro.
Guiana is a French département d'outre-mer, so its laws are very close to the laws of the mainland. However, the visa requirements are different.
