One reason is that not every country has computerised their passport/visa system. They're coming along, but still. In addition, not every country's system is linked together. So even if you scanned it in at one border, you can't tell that's happened at the next. Crossing into Zambia in 2005, they opened their book to the date, drew in a line for New ...

Airlines do have computer systems that do this, yes. Many countries, such as the US, require airlines to transit information about inbound passengers prior to flight departure through an Advance Passenger Information System (APIS). Brazil, which the OP mentioned, is one such country. Brazil, along with a number of countries, uses a product called SITA ...

E-Visas, by definition, are electronic (that's what the "e" stands for!). Although I can't say with certainty that no country that issues e-visas also places a visa "foil" (the full page sticker/stamp you are referring to) in your passport on arrival, I've certainly never heard of anyone doing that, and never seen it myself. Countries that use e-visas will ...

However, http://www.windowmalaysia.my/ is the Official Visa Channel and eVisa Operator for the Government of Malaysia as stated here: https://www.imi.gov.my/index.php/en/main-services/visa/evisa.html. I have used windowmalaysia myself and got the eNTRI right away. The website is a little buggy but a tad bit ...

I contacted the Airlines and they confirmed e-visa will work, thinking about it; visa on arrival is independent from the airline, so even e-visa says you have to fly with Turkish airlines or EgyptAir, I can get visa on arrival. During check-in with NileAir I signed a form that they are not responsible about any issue happen due to visa; which means ...

I got a reply from Turkish embassy for my question. I will post it here verbatim: You should comply with all the requirements stated in the e-visa site. You can at least show your hotel reservations + hiking tour documents. You can show some cash + credit cards + bank statement. My take on it is that these requirements sound pretty lax but you should ...

Most likely she's not getting on the plane, as the airline faces massive fines if transporting her without valid paperwork. And an entry permit with a misspelt name compared to the passport is invalid, full stop! Thus, even if she does make her way to Malaysian immigration, she's likely to be sent back So her only solution is to apply for a new one. Source:...

This info may help others ... I took a huge risk and simply applied again. Very fortunately, it worked. So, within seconds of clicking "pay", I got the actual eTA via email, including the eTA number. For anyone facing this total catastrophe, note that Even in the second case when it worked, I did not get the "first" email stating your application number....

As said in the comments, to get an Indian E-Visa two blank pages are needed, but they do not have to be next to each other. One page will be used for the visa itself, and other will be used for the entry stamp. As you have four pages left this will be fine.

A comparison just for the sake of making an example would be online shopping vs conventional shopping. Which one is easier? Ordering a movie online and being able to watch it on spot without moving your lazy butt or going all the way to the store to get the DVD? Same thing goes for visas. Most people when planning a vacation they put a list of places to ...

I entered Turkey with a Schengen visa earlier than the later travel period indicated visa. I was also in doubt about that, so I contacted the Embassy of Turkey here and they told me that, if there was anything wrong with my entries, the visa generator will detect it. I tried it and I was allowed to enter.

You can find the answer to your question on the visa information page from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a Pakistani citizen, you can get a one month single entry eVisa if they already have a visa or residence permit from one of the Schengen countries, USA, UK or Ireland. Otherwise, you have to apply for a visa at a Turkish consulate.

The e-Visa is fully electronic - there is nothing put in your passport at all for the visa. Upon entering and exiting the country your passport will be stamped with a standard entry/exit stamp which will require only a small amount of space. (Based on obtaining multiple Turkish e-visas, the most recent 3 weeks ago which has already been used to enter ...

Kuwait's system is similar to what has been deployed in the UAE. It allows you to apply online for the visa, and then collect it (rather, get it stamped or entered) when you arrive at the border. The process is outlined at this page; along with the restrictions and approvals. You can apply on your own (start here), you don't need a sponsor to apply on ...

I ended up using Alean Travel Company. We exchanged a couple of e-mails, payment was done via Western Union (USD 55) and the visa arrived two days before my planned entry by e-mail. They also offered me an airport pick-up for USD 15, which I felt was a reasonable price. All in all, everything went smooth and without a problem.

This travel agency website has a link to a sample e-visa, which includes no space for entry/exit stamps. In addition, it mentions in the text that one should "make sure that you have free page in your passport". From this information, it can be reasonably inferred that your passport will be stamped upon entry. In addition, this similar site suggests that to ...

We arrived in Istanbul last month from the UK and I was not asked to prove this $50 requirement, nor was I even aware of it. My passport was stamped in a few seconds and that was that. I guess it depends on where you are travelling from. If you are coming from the West, I would imagine they think you're going to be able to support yourself. If you're coming ...
