I notice in the comments that you're looking for somewhere to sit and work. Apparently, Vienna has a very high concentration of co-working spaces purpose-designed for the sort of thing you're looking to do. From this article: Move over coffee shops! The Viennese have found a better place to work, connect, and stay warm: Austria may be small, but ...[has]....

It is Annecy in France. And you can see on the picture le Palais de l'Isle.

There is a review here of Fukuro no Mise, which mentions an English set of instructions and an English speaker who works on Fridays. The review is from January 2015, so it's likely to be the same still. The shop's page (in Japanese) is here

Container ships frequently enter the bay, but there isn't a continuous stream of them, so you may be waiting for a while for optimum viewing. You might want to use a ship tracking website (such as this one) to see what is coming in and out. This will show smaller vessels as well, but if you click on each ship, it will tell you its name and type, and often ...

You guessed it right: the purpose of the goblet is to collect tips in an original way. You get curious, you ask about it and you hopefully leave a tip. This practice is common in other countries, especially in those where tipping is not expected (as opposed to the USA for example).

You can search for stores on the Starbucks site, here are the results for Vienna, Austria. There are many stores and many are near U-Bahn stations and/or tram and bus stops. For example this store is right beside Wien Mitte Station and also even closer to a local tram stop, here's a Google Maps shot: and a close up showing the tram stop: But there are ...

Arguably... there is no single place that can meet all of your requirements and you will be making trade-offs among the various candidates. Acting on the assumption that the primary requirement is that the establishment stays open until 1 or 2 AM, and secondarily that the ambiance is amenable to a romantic encounter, there are several interesting candidates.....

Disclaimer: I am French, I have used autoroutes in about all parts of France :) TL;DR: There's normally no planning needed, the aires are sufficiently close together that you can start searching when you need one and get to a suitable one within 10 min/20 min assuming you're not caught in traffic jams (a real possibility during school holidays, look-up ...

A basic itinerary from Caen to Poitiers on "autoroute" might use : The A88, whose website can be found here : http://a88-alicorne.fr/ There's a dedicated page about services available : http://a88-alicorne.fr/index.php?menu_type=2&num=4&id_menu=3&name=LES+SERVICES+DE+L%27A88 The A28, whose website can be found here : https://www.alis-sa.com/...

Generally speaking there is no difference between sitting inside or outside, you are paying more just because you sit at a table. This rule may be spelled differently on the price list, for example there is a single price and a "servizio al tavolo" extra. In some places where you eat (restaurants, pizzerie, english style pubs) it may differ a bit... you ...

Hot Chocolate and the Italian Summer As many, many waiters must have told you, hot chocolate is not exactly a summer drink. I do understand that those same establishments probably serve hot coffee and tea in the summer, however tea is somewhat of a more multi-season drink whereas coffee is a daily drink for most Italians. In my opinion, if you wish to ...

While it won't show ports or limits or tell you much more about the cafe (for now), you can see locations and speeds using Instabridge. It shows a map around you with available wifi, the location (eg name of cafe) and the tested speed of the connection. I've found it a handy quick resource for finding a cafe nearby.

There is a law that prohibits smoking "в помещениях, предназначенных для предоставления ... услуг ... общественного питания". This prohibits smoking on indoor areas of restaurants, bars, etc ("помещение" means indoor premises). Smoking on outdoor terraces of restaurants is generally not prohibited, and many restaurants allow it (same for cafes, bars, etc.) ...

I think you'll find a lot of places that satisfy your requirements: Vienna has many coffee houses and an excellent public transport network. If you pick a random location in the central district, it's more likely than not to be under 300m from a transport stop. With that in mind, it's not really practical to assemble an exhaustive list, so I'll just give an ...

I found this article giving a few options. Especially the second one seems to fit your criteria: Lipstick 19, Rue Désirée M: Hôtel de Ville This café is a close second to the Voxx. There’s a nice little vibe and they have great booths if you’re staying for lunch. If not, they’re happy to let you sit at the bar and check your email or do whatever ...

There's Cafe Central, which according to Google Maps is about 100 meters from the Herrengasse U-Bahn station. Someone on Tripadvisor calls it "a must-see for anyone wanting to capture the essence of Vienna." Go about the same distance in the other direction, toward the Michaelerplatz, and you'll get to Cafe Griensteidl, known in the 19th century as "Cafe ...

Indoor smoking should be banned almost everywhere, including cafes, restaurants and bars. It should also apply to outdoor terraces of said venues. It should apply everywhere in the country, maybe it will be milder as you go further from Moscow (people will just look the other way) but I can't recommend abusing it. You can usually smoke on the street (with ...

The Costanera Center is the best future bet for such facilities. The tower itself is still under construction. It will be 300 meters high and South Amarica's tallest building. It seems likely that it will at least have an observation platform of some kind. Currently available are several apartment hotels with rooftop swimming pools and lounges. You would of ...

The first question to answer is if the people of the country normally do coffe. No - we don't normally drink coffee here The best bet then is to look for an american-looking chain. This may still suck but is likely the best bet to get something decent. Even better (but rarer) is to look for one of the Italian coffee brands like Illy or Segafreddo sometims ...

I guess this question is quite different from people to people and place to place as well. For example, if you're travelling in Asia there will be not much choices anyway because most of the local coffee shops are not that great. In that sense, I'd stick with Starbucks because of all the facilities; Internet, bathroom, etc. But if you're up for something ...

I think the answers are the same as on the other question, but let me try and be coffee specific. I should also note that I have about that exact situation and I still go to Starbucks everyday and have never tried the other places, but I know I like Starbucks coffee (and I know not everyone does and there are probably better places). Assuming I had wanted to ...

Yes it's Annecy and its Old Town. This building is "Le Palais de l'Ile". It used to be a jail and now it's a place for exhibitions. See more : http://goo.gl/hUoCJm

Well just after I posted this, pnuts indirectly helped me find a venue! A place called "The Uptowner" is advertising the even on their Facebook page: They mention having to book a seat, which I'm not keen on. Plus I can't tell if it might be pricey. So I'm still open to alternative places, but at least I've found one. Thanks pnuts!

Bottom line: It's prohibited in cafes indoors but not outdoors -- unless it's also within a protected territory of another kind. According to Article 12, part 1, point 6 of the Federal Law № 15-FZ of 23.02.2013 (current edition as of this writing), smoking is prohibited, among other things: 6) в помещениях, предназначенных для предоставления бытовых ...

I just learned of the existence of VizioVIrtù in Venice. Look at this: And the text suggests it's served in every season: Each season has its chocolate drink. True, as this drink is exquisite also if served cold. Is your mouth watering? Try the milkless and sugarless one.

There are quite some places to try in Trieste. I suggest to try Chocolat first. From there you can walk towards Piazza Unità and check a local Torrefazione (they serve tea and coffee also). Behind Piazza Unità there's Gelato Marco, a gelateria (ice cream place) where they serve ice-cream covered in hot chocolate! After visiting the old city centre, walk in ...

I always use Foursquare by searching "coffee" in whatever is the local language and then choosing the place with the biggest number of mentions. Starbucks is the obvious choice in most countries since it provides pretty much the same level of quality everywhere.
