I came across a website that did a survey of hotels that allow 18 year olds. These include chains such as Marriott and Best Western, and chains that have restrictions that require you to be older such as 19 at Fairmont hotels and Choice hotels (19 or 21). Well worth a read with a list of links to hotel policies. It also provides general advice on searching: ...

German driving licence would be good to rent a car for 1 month or do we need an international driving licence? You can usually rent a car and drive with a valid driver's license from your home country in USA. An international license may be helpful in convincing the car rental agent that you really have a valid license when they cannot recognize or ...

Stay at a hostel. You shouldn't have any trouble due to your young age. You will have to buy a hostel membership, either an annual or temporary one. But the nightly fee will probably be less expensive than most hotels anyway. There is one in Syracuse. Here's the link to check availability: http://www.hiusa.org/new-york/syracuse/downing-international-...

No, there is no international standard, these policies are entirely up to the airline. As rough guidelines: For "unaccompanied minors", meaning traveling alone but with support from airline staff (usually a paid service), most airlines draw the line at 5 or 6 years. However, many impose additional restrictions if there are connecting flights, especially ...

Interestingly it seems to be down to the airline, here's a Daily Mail article about and a Huffington Post piece. From the first link: Is there a drinking age restriction? Despite restrictions imposed in bars and clubs, there is actually not a limit enforced during flights. Individual airlines have to decide which rules they abide by, although it is ...

First up, driving in London isn't really for the faint-hearted. Especially not for people quite new to driving, who've only ever driven on the other side of the road! So, if you really do want to drive, I'd suggest when you get to London you hop on the Piccadilly Line out to Heathrow Airport, and pick up a car there. Heathrow is right by the M4 motorway, ...

From my experience: Forget your idea, you will be stopped dead cold at 1. Because many people here in Germany who have for good reason no driving license (dangerous driving, alcohol) tried to get one abroad and tried to rent cars with it, they will always ask for the license and check it together with the ID (you know, stolen/invalid/fake licenses). From ...

The age of majority in the United States is 18, and that is the theoretical legal age required to enter into a rental contract— but it takes two to agree to a contract. In practice, it may not be possible to find someone willing to offer a rental contract to someone under 21 depending on the rental agency rental location/market size and type of vehicle ...

Is it possible to hire a car in Bulgaria with the age of 59 and 69? Yes, it is possible. Rental car age limits in Bulgaria are stricter than other countries, with most suppliers requiring a minimum age of 21 and maximum age of 70. Answer is from Rental Car Age Requirement: Any hire companies that would allow us to rent a car to ...

Traveling with less than 5 years child with out mentioning their details in the ticket in Indian Railways is not a problem. In your case for a one year child, the Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) won't ask any details. In my experience, you can tell the truth to TTE they won't make any issue. The ticket fare applicable for more than 5 years old children only.

You will need to search hotels individually for the most part and mostly away from chain hotels like Choice Hotels, or Wyndham and the like. For example Motel 6 policy is to allow guests of 18 years of age and older to check-in but individual hotels may deny until 19 or 21. Hotels.com lists Syracuse Inn & Suites. Hilton provides Hilton Garden Inn, ...

Oddly enough I wasn't able to find any information on this online, I'll continue to search in case I'm able to find something. Meanwhile, I'll tell you the general rules. As you would expect, it is entirely dependent on the policy of the country in which the airline is registered. Considering that, since the drinking age in Iceland is 20, the drinking age ...

It is still possible to hire a car in UK with the age of 20 year. Answer is from Rental Car Age requirement: The only concern is if you are able to find a car rental offering a car for drivers with 20 years of age, the price might be too high. You also need to find a rental car company by yourself, here in TSE no one can guide you to find a agency which ...

In general you're going to find that car rental agencies will include a surcharge for drivers under 25. In many cases it's actually a matter of law of the minimum age for renting, so it's a matter of company policy and the jurisdiction you're in. After some quick googling, I found the underage driver surcharge list by state for Budget car rentals. If you ...

As an alternative, Seattle's got a nice hostel that I have stayed at https://www.hihostels.com/hostels/hi-seattle-at-the-american-hotel, age is not an issue, and cheaper than a hotel anyway.

8

The other answer is perfectly correct, travelling with one or even more children of age 5 and below is not a problem, the reason I am adding another answer is just so that everyone visiting in future understand the full implications. The details of Children travelling together with adults is taken for use in emergency alone. In case if there is an ...

You could always use Airbnb if you're older than 18 and the hotels deny you.

Car rental contracts typically specify that the car may be driven only by the person(s) listed on the contract. So the child wouldn't be allowed to drive a car rented by their parent unless they were added to the contract, in which case the rental company's age restrictions might kick in.

According to Expedia.ca (unfortunately you can't search by that parameter) Ramada Inn Syracuse Buckley Rd North Syracuse NY 1-855-247-4371 There may be others... apparently it's all over the place from 18 to 25 depending on the hotel.

First things first: rental companies will check your driving licence for validity before they confirm your rental car. This is to ensure that you are legally allowed to drive. Secondly your age will be checked since there are usually extra fees to be paid by young (< 25 years old) drivers. Having performed these two checks they will know if you qualify as ...

Well, some may have their own policies. For example, some require you to book or check in with a credit card - and you have to be 18 to own one of those. However, I have found a couple of hostels that would accept this, with some restrictions, if you would consider that. Many hostels, especially if you book a private room, work just like budget hotels, ...

Assuming you truly are a responsible young adult… Contact the hotel manager directly, well in advance. Explain your situation. Demonstrate that you are a responsible young adult who is not going to wreck the place with a wild party or other crazy behavior. Be polite and courteous. Put yourself in the shoes of the man or woman responsible for the care and ...

So basically, it'll ultimately depend on the rental company, but there are certainly penalties. It's also definitely possible, so don't worry about that. For example, from Irish Car Hire Info: Drivers under 25 must have held their full license for at least 24 months prior to the date of pick up. The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years (maximum ...

We rented a car in Chicago O'hare International airport this summer from Avis car. When we made a car rental booking from Germany, we received an email that German driver licence and an international driver licennce (for translation) would be required upon booking along with a credit card as a security deposit. We were also asked to present our German ...

Speaking as a citizen of Florida, the are three answers. Yes you can drive with just your German licence provided it is valid. If you license has any restrictions on age or medical needs (like glasses) you have to comply with those. But, as a general rule, if you can drive in Germany you can drive here in the same license. There are no age restrictions in ...

5

Yes, your drive license is valid here and according to our laws there is no age limit to drive a car here, when - of course - you are able to do it properly. Also checking the biggest brazilian car rentals website, I found this: What do I need in order to rent a car from Localiza? The minimum requirements to rent a car from us are: You must ...

A good idea to escape the young renters' surcharge is to do your research well. The car rental business is very competitive and almost all agencies have discounts running all throughout the year, if one were to look closer. The most famous offer being the weekend discount. In fact, Hertz has a no young renters' surcharge offer running currently. Another ...
