I had this question in my mind for a while and I still haven't found a reason for this. Maybe you could help me explaining me how this works.

First of all, *I'm not* a terrorist or a drug currier if you could think so.

Starting from June 2012 I began flying from `Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO)` to `Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO)` for personal reasons and everytime I did a round trip, so I leaved `FCO` and a few days after I returned to Rome. I didn't flew only during the weekend, in fact I think that in those 2 years I flew in every day and every hours situation since I was always looking for the best flight fare and for this reason I also booked on different airline, for the low-cost ones (Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling) to the standard ones (Alitalia, Meridiana).

When I arrived to `FCO` and/or `PMO` I always saw the policemans and their drug dogs but **not even once** I was blocked and/or asked for a simple and fast check of the baggage or myself, I always walked and exited the airport **without problems**.

So my question is: **why?**

Didn't the policemans ever suspected me for all those roundtrips? Or won't them check passengers like, for example, they do on the streets when they stops random vehicles?

This seems a bit all strange to me.
