Vo : Which is the company you are working for?
Me: Told my company name

Vo: What is the purpose of your travel?
Me :To attend project related meetings

Vo: What is your designation here?
Me: Software engineer I

Vo: What are you working on?
Me: I told him my roles

Vo: Since how long you are working with this company?
Me: It's been 2 years

Vo: Where are you going in US?
Me: Santa Clara

Vo: Are you going to a client location?
Me: No, I am going to our company headquarters. Our company is subsidiary of it

Vo: How long will you stay there?
Me: 6-20th May, 15 days

Vo: Are you married?
Me: No I'm single

Vo: What's your current salary pm?
Me: told salary

Then he took a minute and said you are rejected under 214b

And the letter contains the message saying

You have not demonstrated that you have the ties that will compel you to return to your home country after your travel to United States.

He did not ask any question related to this and did not ask for any documents?

How did he come to this conclusion? Please correct me if I did something wrong.

  • 15 days for project meetings sounds suspicious, plus you are single. They think you have not provided enough evidence to return to India. – pbu Apr 21 '17 at 11:11
