In Central and Southwestern Ontario, which specific week in October is the rough deadline for seeing autumn foliage before it ceases changing colour? Unpredictability in rate of foliage change nullifies providing specific dates as the deadline.

Depictions are available for the areas denoted by Central Ontario and Southwestern Ontario

It will of course vary from year to year. But there are various websites that offer forecasts. – Nate Eldredge Sep 27 '15 at 19:12

You can check fall colours on websites that show maps or give text reports:

I like to do my leaf peeping Thanksgiving weekend which would be Oct 10/11/12 this year. I suggest picking a weekend and then you just vary how far north you go.

  • Having traveled long(ish) distances in New England, Quebec and a bit in Ontario over two trip in different years, I agree with the 'plan a weekend and adjust location' option. +1 – Willeke Sep 28 '15 at 9:34
