I will be travelling to Egypt as a tourist. Is my assumption correct that credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) will rarely be accepted outside larger stores? What is the best way to withdraw cash from an ATM? Are there banks that charge little or no fees for cash withdrawals? I am aware of common pitfalls like avoiding automatic currency conversions offered by some merchants.
