I have entered Thailand in 02/11/22 and got a 45 days stamp on my passport (from 02/11 to 16/12).

Today I went to the immigration office here in Phuket aiming to extend the visa and I got it extended only until 15/01.

That is strange because it's only 75 days, but I should have gotten until 02/02 right? Wasn't this the whole point of this new post--Covid-19 visa to be for 90 days?

I'd imagine that 90 days is the maximum and that immigration officers are free to give you anything between "nope" and the maximum time.

  • @PeterM that's an answer, and basically a complete one

  • @mlc It's a generic, obvious, glib answer, but to me it falls short of an official answer because I know nothing about Thailand and its immigration policies.
