We will be touring Ireland (Republic & Northern Ireland) this summer. We will be in Belfast from the 9th July to early 13th where we fly back to Canada (from Dublin).

We just realized that the 12th is an holiday in Northern Ireland and that it often lead to violence.

I read many articles online and some year it seem somewhat quiet and other years there is more "action" (cars burned, police attacked). Also most places seems closed on and around the 12th.

How was it last year? With the imminent Brexit this year what could we expect? Should we avoid Belfast the 12th?
