This question already has an answer here:

On July 2, I am going from Dubai, UAE, to Chennai, India, with a connecting flight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The flight is on Saudia Airline and the layover is nearly 2.30 hours. I would not leave the airport.

What is your nationality? Do you hold any visas at the moment? For the avoidance of doubt, please confirm your route is Dubai to Chennai – Traveller May 8 '18 at 12:12

Ask your travel agent to show you or send you confirmation of your visa requirements, or contact your local Indian embassy. I’ve searched the web and as far as I can see you don’t need an airside transit visa for a short stop but I have struggled to find a definitive source. – Traveller May 9 '18 at 12:21

No, You do not need a transit visa for Saudi Arabia with an Indian passport if you just stay in airside.

If traveler intends to pass through immigration, a transit visa may be required. Please confirm with your travel agent or airline to determine if the itinerary is for direct airside transit. A visa is not required for direct airside transit through Saudi Arabia. Traveler must be in possession of a valid passport and onward ticket, and must remain in the airport's transit area.
