At the end of may I'm planning to visit Portugal, but, from Italy, I found that it is cheaper to take a flight to Sevilla and then drive to Portugal.

Since I want to plan all the trip ahead, I'm looking for cars at the Sevilla airport that I can drive to Portugal and leave at Sevilla when the vacation ends.

Are there some companies that allow me to do so? Are there any restrictions to drive between EU countries with a rental car?

INFO: I'm an Italian citizen and I have an Italian driving license, if that matters.

EDIT: the question that you said could have my answer is very different from mine, i want to leave the car exactly where i'll rent it

  • Me think there will no problem. – Max Apr 16 '18 at 12:58
  • Yes, there are many companies which allow to do so (Europcar, Hertz, Avis etc). Just read the rental conditions because it may depend on car category. – Neusser Apr 16 '18 at 13:17
  • Echoing Neusser, most big rental companies will allow this with no restrictions. Be wary of smaller companies (e.g. in Germany I heard of Buchbinder doing this) which will demand extra charges for border crossings (not sure how they verify this though). Spain and Portugal will likely be no problem, but I know that some rentals in Germany might not let you head to CZ or PL with some cars. – LLlAMnYP Apr 16 '18 at 13:32
  • @LLlAMnYP "(not sure how they verify this though)" With a GPS unit (e.g. LoJack) in the car. – Andrew Lazarus Apr 16 '18 at 16:49
