They own it all, and it's wall to wall container trains today. But there have been many rerailings and realignments - smoothing curves, daylighting tunnels, cutoffs like straight across the Salt Lake instead of via Promontory, all normal upkeep for a continuously active line... point is, Is it still the Transcontinental Railroad? Is that standard acceptable to you, could we we give you a list of highways (many of them freeways/motorways)? | |
