Aug 28, 2018 at 14:08 comment added Jason Reljac Eight days and no returned letter so I think it's on the way. Thanks
Aug 21, 2018 at 20:53 comment added Michael Seifert Note that Frank's Compulsive Guide to Postal Addresses (an incredibly useful document that has been around since Internet 1.0) backs you up here; see its section on Singapore, another city-state.
Aug 21, 2018 at 15:26 comment added Joe @JasonReljac A letter (first class) would cost $1.15, up to 1 ounce (see pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm#_c341), so perhaps 3 stamps will cover it.
Aug 21, 2018 at 15:13 comment added FreeMan +1 just for the "or Latin" comment! :) The rest certainly appears to be sadly, bureaucratically, postally correct...
Aug 21, 2018 at 14:33 comment added Jason Reljac @NateEldredge Nope, I went with three just to be safe
Aug 21, 2018 at 13:34 comment added Nate Eldredge @JasonReljac: USPS is the only one who cares about the stamps (since, after all, they are the ones who got the money when you bought them). They'll pay the foreign postal service directly, if needed; there are complicated treaties on this. Hopefully you didn't just use one Forever stamp, though, because that's not enough postage for an international letter.
Aug 21, 2018 at 12:51 comment added Jason Reljac Just dropped a newly addressed letter in the mail today so we'll see if this works but it does seem to make sense. As for correct postage, I wonder how foreign countries like the forever stamp.

Aug 21, 2018 at 1:17 comment added Aganju A clear case of the USPS being 'more catholic than the pope'...
