comment Hiking around Vancouver, Canada?
Sorry, should have mentioned that. I refer to the international acknowledged hike scale of the Swiss Alpine-Club (SAC): hikr.org/post2984.html

comment Does Pacific Central Station (Vancouver) have a Global Entry/NEXUS machine?
Hey could you add a more detailed description how such a machine might look like? I'm maybe going to Pacific Central Station today and then I could have a look.

comment In which European countries do I have to have a country indicator on my car?
How does this answer my question? I have neither a EU license plate nor a Swiss license plate. I really don't know why this got so many upvotes.

comment Why do trucks pass each other on the highway?
Truck drivers are generally under great time pressure and they are happy about every 5 minutes they can gain by overtaking a truck that is only slightly slower. Bear in mind that if you drive hundreds of kilometers each day, a speed difference of 4-5 km/h might result in a considerable time gain. Additionally, there are sections on most highways were overtaking of trucks is prohibited.

comment Tipping in Europe when paying by credit card?
@drat I wouldn't call these restaurants really upscale. Or would you call a restaurant where you pay around 30 CHF (~30 Euros) for a main dish as upscale?

comment Tipping in Europe when paying by credit card?
You seem to have completely different experience than I have. Maybe you work and go to other restaurants than I do. But just now, a third answer about Sweden also confirmed the credit card tipping approach.

comment Tipping in Europe when paying by credit card?
I arrive to that conclusion by living in these countries, going to restaurants and seeing other people paying, as well as by talking to friends who do it exactly the same way. Check Dr Banana's answer which also supports my opinion.

That's definitively not true. I'm sure that this is very common at least in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, France, Liechtenstein, Austria, ...

Why do you think that the licence plate is old? It's not even a year old.

I think this one should be reopened, since questions are only duplicates if the question is the same and not if the answers happen to be the same.

I had to slightly correct my comment from above. Your best chance is probably Ticino.
