comment Roadtrip in Southeastern Europe: too much for 4 weeks?
I'm not a big fan of ferries, but I'll report if we take it.

But it isn't such a big detour from Venice to San Marino. Or did you choose the route over the Brenner? Or the Gotthard?

I'm living in Liechtenstein. My driving experience is not so bad I think. I've only 8 years experience but I did some 5000 - 10000 km roadtrip in the last years and I already drove in the following countries: Gibraltar, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, Monaco, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia. I hope I didn't miss something.

He Mark. Thanks for your hints. But I skipped some cities on purpose. I was already in Venice and also in Plitivce National Park and Dubrovnik I was also in my roadtrip 2007. Generally I enjoy driving in foreign countries a lot. I did a 10'000 km roadtrip in Spain and France 2009 in 29 days, but I'm not sure if the streets have the same quality in southeastern europe.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions! The detour to San Marino can easily be skipped. I just included it here since I've never been there. Zürich -> Villach or also the Brenner Autobahn I drove already a lot of times. Concerning the last leg. Yes it is really a long trip, but I also did Andorra -> Toulouse -> Liechtenstein in one day and this time we are two drivers. But maybe you're right and one overnight stop in Budapest is a good idea.

Austria has a lot of ski resorts. Can you bit a little bit more specific on the region? Or do you really want to cover whole Austria?

comment Vomitorium: Only common in the German-speaking world?
I'm not sure if this is really a vomitorium. To me the sink looks quite narrow and also the flushing seems not to be extra strong. For me it looks more like a place where you can empty a transportable toilet. I've seen this quite often on camping grounds.

comment Maps with road drivability grading
There are special maps for trcuks/vans. They indicate if there are narrow streets or very tight curves. Maybe you can consult these maps. If it is suitable for a truck, you will be able to drive there too ;)
