comment How can I reliably make myself a cup of coffee in my hotel room that doesn't suck?
@CGCampbell the lack of an Accept is quite deliberate, in fact. Each answer is actually fairly distinct - the top two are similar at a glance, but there are some notable differences between the Aeropress (and recommended cold brew method) and the miniature French Presses recommended in the other answer.

comment Canada NHL game
Generally, single game tickets go on sale in mid-september. Keep an eye also on sites like stubhub.com, which is (officially sanctioned, and) used by many season ticket holders to offload tickets to games that they can't attend - sometimes at a steep discount!

comment At *some* border crossings, why do bus passengers have to get off, but not those in cars?
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it isn't about travel, but rather the motivations behind particular arrangement of a given nations regulatory procedures.

comment Where might I observe people sneaking across the Vietnam-Cambodian border illegally?
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is about research for a work of fiction and seeking out illegal activity.

@Gagravarr I happened to link the visa USA page because I'm a US cardholder. Here's the Canadian equivalent, for example.

It's not at all obvious that that sentence is about anything other than American Express. Especially given the curious choice to end the immediately preceding sentence with an ellipsis rather than a period.

And that means that making an explicitly inaccurate statement no longer matters?

@verve Amex cards with a chip are available by request. Most cards are Chip-and-Sign, but I believe they do have a few pin options as well. (This is also true of many Visa and MC offerings - especially those aimed at travelers.)

AmEx issues it's own cards, and offers substantial insurance protections across the board. It's a big part of why they can be so valuable to have.

@Relaxed funny, I find differing levels of insurance coverage to be just as much of a travel issue, if not more of one, than acceptance statistics.
