comment Is it inappropriate to record the call to prayer?
I could only find this sineadoconnor.com/2014/09/… -- do you have more details (esp if the recording is online somewhere)? edit - aha, sineadoconnor.com/2014/09/all-things-must-pass -- wow, that blog is rather hard to navigate!

comment How many types of Pound Sterling are there and what is the relationship between them?
Excellent explanation! Now if only shopkeepers say this when they refuse unfamiliar banknotes instead of claiming they are not valid

comment Can I leave the UK and come back in, on a Tourist visa?
I don't think so, the limitation is that each of your stay can only be for 6 months. As an Indonesian passport holder (who needs a visa to travel to the US), we have similar limitations -- the visa is valid for 5 years, normally, but each stay in the US can only be for 6 months.

comment What kind of Visa do I need to land on the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg?
As a resident alien from outside the Schengen area myself (residing in Germany), from family members' experience, you really don't need to visit the visa-issuing country first -- but you might need to demonstrate that it is, indeed, your main destination (and that you know how to get there from the airport).
