Best Way to Prepare For Being Mugged Are you only concerned with how to buy things after being mugged, or your safety while being mugged. You could store your credit card numbers in a secure online place like Lastpass, but I don't think many stores in the US will accept a number without a card. |

Avoiding the traveller's 'fanny pack' / money-belt It's fine to say "don't carry cash" but what about all the times when you are moving between cities, carrying your backpack and luggage, or just had to hit the ATM to pay for your guesthouse? It's not always avoidable. |

Vietnam visa has wrong dates, ending too early I agree on not overstaying. I should have clarified, I meant if it's a 30 day visa, does it start from the day I enter or the date on the visa. It looks like I'll be paying for an extension, which costs about the same as the visa did. :( |

Is there a standard power adaptor to use on airplanes? I just took the flight that I was asking this question for, a Cathay Pacific 777-300 from ORD-HKG and while SeatGuru said it had "EmPower" outlets, it had the same outlet as the Air Canada one that @KateGregory mentions. I'm glad I didn't buy an adaptor. |
