Why is car rental in the US so much cheaper when booking from outside the US? Yeah i am a bit skeptical too - the usual rate for cars in NZ/AUS is ~USD50/day for the cheapest option (small car, no extras). Some places advertise their cars much cheaper, but if you ask they usually tell you it's only for long-term rentals >1 month. |

Would renting a car in Basel, Switzerland be safe for a foreigner? Why do you want to rent a car in Switzerland? It has the best rail system in the world. And don't expect the cities to be particular car friendly. Either the parking is not very central, or they charge you for it. |
