I've been working with map projections and datum transformations for years, including in ArcView GIS, ArcInfo 7 and up, MapObjects, and ArcGIS.

comment Are there hotels where children are not allowed?
I think you're right; that it's only for permanent housing ("family status"), but it would likely still cause an uproar if the hotel wasn't a very high-end resort or a tiny B&B.

comment What is the LONGEST passenger flight (with a flight number) in the world?
"Longest" flights are always going to include crossing the equator. Once you have to do that, you can't take advantage of a near-polar route.

comment Looking for place to stay with pool in room in north east USA
An exercise/lap pool (with or without one of those motors that you swim against) or bigger? Can it be indoors or outdoors?

comment Why does the TSA allow two 3-ounce containers but not one 6-ounce container?
When I later looked at the TSA site that @nate-eldridge linked to, TSA said that 3.4 oz / 100 ml is adequate for a short trip. So knowing people really complain if they can't take anything, this is the smallest reasonable amount.

Honestly, how is this different from travel.stackexchange.com/questions/3586/… ? Although that question includes a time limit for a visit, it's otherwise completely open-ended.

Doesn't RyanAir (and EasyJet) have restrictive baggage policies? If you need some camping gear, that may bump the costs a bit.
