comment What to do when no search engine can find a connection that clearly exists
are you doing searches on one-way flights? That often keeps you away from cheap fare classes. See travel.stackexchange.com/q/26828/46 for example. Make sure you're searching round trips.

comment How do I mask my location while traveling so I can use geo blocked services?
@Flimzy I considered asking on SU but believe the larger audience there would in fact answer "I live in X; how can I access geo blocked services there?" which is not the same question. For example things that take weeks to set up aren't worth it so I can watch a little TV one night on a one week trip but might seem like a great plan to someone living where local TV doesn't meet their tastes.

there is no law that says I can't use Netflix here. Perhaps Netflix doesn't want to have Polish customers, but I have a paid-for subscription from home and want to use it while I travel. This is different from the situation of a non traveler (for example, I have machines at home that could be involved in the process, and I am already a legal subscriber to the service.)

a better question (more useful for future readers) is "how can I find out what plane I'll be on, and what the seats are like on that plane?

is your objection to the inflatables that they are slippery and rubbery? Because they don't have to be.

@pnuts may get your laptop confiscated or admission denied - claiming you don't know the password is indistinguishable from refusing to provide the password.

comment Languages in Bulgaria?
learn to read the script. Many of the words I laboriously sounded out were then obviously English words or French words (eg HIBO on a mall map, sound it out and it's clearly Niveau or level.) All the Bulgarians I met (including store employees, taxi drivers, airport security staff etc) spoke English, at least enough for me to conduct my business with them. But the signs will be utterly opaque to you until you learn the alphabet.
