comment Does one need a visa to visit Antarctica?
@yashar no government may limit its own citizen to come into the country they are a citizen of, but that hardly means they will issue you permits for anything you happen to want. You need a PERMIT even if you don't need a VISA - don't expect one to follow the rules of the other.

comment Why is it difficult/how to make it easier for Americans to understand Australian accents?
David's comment explains the downvotes - Americans are stereotyped as omitting letters and merging words together (eg y'all) and yet this answer asserts the exact opposite as truth and basically says Australians are hard to understand because they're lazy but Americans understand each other due to their diligent clarity of speech. It's both inaccurate (We all have accents and understand our own accents better than others; everyone uses slang; Americans don't speak more clearly than others) and rude.

comment Looking for children activity ideas during long-distance travels
I think a better phrasing would be "what should I bring to enable children's activities during travel?" or "what aspects of a children's activity makes it inappropriate during travel?" I'm think that tag on a train, or hide and seek in an airport, are really bad ideas.

comment Denied Entry into USA - Impact on Future Travel
That's because it's highly unlikely that it's only meetings if it's more than a week. That's never been the case for me, for example, unless I'm tacking some sightseeing onto a three-days-of-meetings trip.

comment Denied Entry into USA - Impact on Future Travel
this is the key. Meetings don't require a TN1. Working does. For a TN1 you need a letter explaining the work you're doing, and you need your university transcipts (not just your degree.) ON PAPER. If they are sending you to work, get your TN1 stuff together for the next trip. It is generally not held against you if you're turned away for not having X and come back later to apply for X properly. It is held against you if you keep going there to work but claiming it's meetings, or if you were denied an X and try to get in without it.

comment Buying air ticket to USA for foreign citizen
I always have issues flying on a Lufthansa plane but another airline issued the ticket. Always. I have handed my laptop across the check in desk more than once because they needed some number or code. I suspect this is what happened to you. Way more tickets have been bought for me than I have bought myself, and without incident other than Lufthansa, where I have had the same issue even when I bought the ticket.
