comment Figure for taxi ride from LAS Las Vegas airport to the MGM
Expect to pay a lot more for the trip from the airport to the hotel than you will later from the hotel to the airport. It's called "long hauling" and there seems to be no way to prevent it so sit back and enjoy your scenic tour.

You need to add details to your question for it to be answerable.

comment Celebrating the same new year several times over?
@BrendanLong yes, roughly, though some zones are widened and narrowed for the convenience of those living in them. The problem with the "let's go close to the poles where the zones are narrower" strategy is the shortage of travel options other than lifting that champagne onboard a moving private jet.

Since a time zone is roughly a thousand miles, to do 3 of them will strain the laws of physics. Look for half-hour time zones gregcons.com/KateBlog/TimeZones.aspx to help a bit

comment Using restroom on airplane while fasten seatbelt light is on?
I was in a situation like that once, where I had morning sickness, we waited a long time to take off and then they left the seatbelt light on. I just got up and ran for the bathroom. A flight attendant appeared to consider stopping me, looked at my face and let me go by. One data point only.

comment Non-prescription medicines in India and USA
tell me more about the risks of having pseudoephedrine with you. I carry Sudafed at all times - I can't take antihistamines and when I catch a cold I take a decongestant. What would be the consequences of having 12 or so Sudafed with me in my carryon entering NZ for a few day stay?

comment How much cash per person may we bring from South Africa to Switzerland?
If you bring that much, do not have one person carry it all. Generally that is not something customs people like to see.

comment Where to pick up arriving passengers at Terminal 1, Toronto Pearson Int'll Airport?
Yes. There are many lanes of buses, taxis, parking shuttles, family pickups etc and for terminal 1 especially it's hard to see the length of it and spot the car you're waiting for.
