comment Is there any possibility to view London from “The Gherkin”?
In previous years they have balloted tickets, last year I only went to mid level buildings like Battersea power station and it was 3 mile queue an hour before it opened.

comment Is there a list of countries that require six months validity remaining on your New Zealand passport?
the last point on the list suggest the NZ government is considering moving to the UK system of offering a credit on early renewal which would be swell. passports.govt.nz/Five-year-passports

comment Is there a list of countries that require six months validity remaining on your New Zealand passport?
I looked into this recently. USA (ESTA) ICE officer told me 3 months from date of arrival as the esta is valid for 90 days. Canadian embassy website said 6 months from date of arrival. Egypt requires a full 6 months on exit according to a conversation I had with the London consulate. the NZ department of foreign affairs website said there is no comprehensive list and to check with each embassy before travelling. Don't have time to turn this into a proper answer - maybe tomorrow night.

comment How long to get from Covent Garden to Heathrow?
In that case i have nothing further to add. Had your flight been Later the likes of 21:40 then a cab may have actually been quickest.

comment How do you drive a British car? Is it with the left hand and foot or right?
Something to note, cars manufactured in Europe and America have there indicators arm(?) (blinkers) on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Cars Manufactured in Japan have there on the right to correspond with the hand holding the wheel. Not a huge issue as most rental cars i have used in the UK are European made.

It's been a while since you were last in England Mark and sadly the guys down brick lane don't bargain any more. Also I wouldn't specifically recommend anything on the weatherperson menu as it has been changing almost every second month. The last time I had a curry from them it tasted like a microwaved chicken stew. Not like the good old days.

comment What is the average time to clear border control at Frankfurt Airport for a non EU passenger
Surely when a flight lands they can tell how long it takes for them to clear the queue at least giving the number of the longest wait?

@choster your second quoted example has x rather than + suggesting the total is a volume rather than a linear length is this a typo or am I miss understanding something?

Thanks @MarcelC. it's not about trust, its so that in the future when things change people can determine if the information is still correct.

Do you have a reference for this statement. If it has been postponed then that implies at some time in the future there will be a requirement.
