comment Sim Card with data plan in China?
As far as I understood, you need to register your phone on name, before you can use the sim-card for internet. I don't know the details, I do know that with my China Mobile sim-card I couldn't connect indeed.

Not interested in buying a caravan and 36 hours of car ride? :p

comment Is it possible to buy unlimited 3G/4G internet in Italy?
I would highly discourage using 3G as a solution. Make the wire-internet a requirement for the house you rent, or investigate the possibilities to obtain wired internet.

comment Do you need to submit an itinerary to get a Chinese visa? And do you have to stick to it?
If you don't have a hotel reservation, you still need to mention the places where you will be staying. Then, once you arrive in the country, you will have 24 hours to go to a local police station, to get registered. This is a quite complicated procedure...

comment Which Shanghai airport is convenient for city center? Hongqiao or Pudong?
In Shanghai subway price increases with distance (I think in the range 2/3-6 yuan), so there is probably a 1 yuan difference in prince. Normally you won't care about this amount as compared to the price of the flight.

@cnst I suggest to extend your comment into an answer, as it adds enough information to the question to be an answer in itself, at least, that is my opinion. Edit: I see there is already another answer covering this.

@Bart You can see it from the way people look at them, if only for a short period of time.

comment Great spots to have lunch between Goreme and Antalya
Well, apparently you don´t want to bring your own lunch for a picnic. This would narrow it down quite a lot. What do you mean by interesting?

comment Is it common that hostels charge more for woman only dorm rooms?
I can imagine there were significantly more mixed dorm rooms than women-only dorm rooms. If the women-only dorm rooms are always fully booked, while the mixed ones are not, I can imagine this choice.

Ah, these are new rules. I also miscalculated, thought you were staying 26 hours.

comment Beijng Capital International Airport with asthma
The airport is quite far from the city center, so for heavy smog, I would expect it to be less in that area.

comment Is there a website to minimize overall agony for N travelers at once?
I would just pick one of the people to act as host. You have someone who knows it and can properly arrange things locally.

@username55 If you choose a bike, you will take whole day. If you chose car, it will take you an hour or so. Be sure to check the wind direction before you leave. Wind the back or headwind make a huges difference!

I see it is a €5,- app. Bit too much to 'just try it' for me.

Nice post with a lot of useful information. Only not an answer to question.

Google Maps for Android doesn't allow you to navigate without internet connection, which the app you suggest probably does. I'll have to try it, but then you are right.

Side-remark on the app: Google Maps for Android-phones already has the functionality to download maps. I think it is even a default app.

@username55 I don't think you will easily get to Den Oever without a car, except by this bus. So if you decide to take it, you can better hop on in Alkmaar. From the road you will only see one side, as the road is not on top of the dyke. If biking is not an option, then I would go for the car rental. Then you can also find some scenic drive in Noord-Holland (province)
