comment Which city has the greatest religious diversity?
The question isn't about countries; it's about cities. So your information about India as a country is not relevant.

comment What should I do if I feel the pilot is guiding the flight in the wrong direction?
From IATA I learn there were "2.98 billion [passengers] carried in 2012". From Aviation Safety Network I learn there were 475 accident fatalities that year. 475 out of 3 billion makes for a pretty safe activity, I'd say.

What do you mean by "the current news about the aviation industry" ?

To answer this, we'd need to know your circumstances, as well as the required journey. What's your budget? How many people are you moving? Do you have any luggage? Do you have any accessibility requirements? Do you want to minimise CO2 emissions? Do you have a morbid fear of coaches? etc etc etc

comment Partial travel insurance
+1, although I remember reading once that the actual underwriting often ends up being zero profit/loss, and the money comes from having that big pile of premiums lying around to invest with...

comment What are the differences between French road signs and American road signs?
@happybuddha I've image-googled 'yield sign usa' and I've found pictures of downward-pointing red hollow triangles, remarkably similar to Euro 'Give Way' signs. Are these not signs telling you to yield? They certainly look like that to me.

@happybuddha not sure what you mean there - both 'Yield' and 'Give Way' seem to me to "tell you what to do", no?

comment Why do flight attendants still give safety instructions if the plane has screens installed in all seats?
"almost every", there's your answer. How might they give a live demo to only those seats without a screen?

This answer appears to relate to flying with a child, whereas the question states "I am not flying with my child".

@Gagravarr drifting OT a bit, but how do the TGV seasons work with mandatory seat reservations?

comment Do unlimited use/season tickets for the Eurostar exist from Lille?
I very much doubt it, especially considering their loyalty programmes are very reminiscent of airlines, which of course don't generally have season tickets.

comment DIY London tour using public transport
this is good, but "pop into London Bridge station, and catch the northern line up to Leceister Square" - wrong branch of the Northern. Not sure what to recommend in its place, perhaps a train from London Bridge to Charing Cross, of which there are dozens, but the train station is not quite as simple to navigate as the tube.

comment Oyster charges for multiple routes between two places
@Jonathan. the using-zone-1 fare will always be the same or greater than the not-using-zone-1 fare, for routes with a choice, so yes if one end is in Z1 it won't make a difference whether you pink-validate or not.

comment Heading to WC2014 Qualifier @ Wembley
Just a note that official World Cup merchandise won't be available until around the time of the competition itself; and while you can buy an official England replica kit at a match at any time, there's no guarantee that that will be the same kit as England end up using in Brazil in 2014
