comment BNI and BRI cash machines, what are the differences?
Just different banks. BNI sometimes seem to have higher limits though (sometimes it's possible to get 2 million while the machine states a maximum of 1,5 million).

comment How to avoid getting hassled in Indonesia?
Hmmm... with the exception of Borobudur I never had that problem in jogja. But that could be because usually we are a group of at least 4 and the others are all from yogyakarta. But I have to agree, ignoring works best. More so if you don't even look at the stuff they try to sell.

comment Yogyakarta to mount Merapi by scooter, possible?
Of course that's possible. A friend of mine goes home to malang from yogya every once in a while by scooter (but i guess that one is not fun anymore)....

comment Is there any night transportation in Sumatra (Indonesia)?
There are busses and trains that run at night. Travelling by car or motorbike (or ojek, something like a motorbike taxi) might be dangerous at night in certain parts of sumatra.

comment How to go from Medan International Airport to Medan city center?
Much to far for a rickshaw (which is called becak in indonesia, in case you want to ask for one) unless you arrive at the old polonia airport which is located more or less in the heart of the city.

comment 31 days in Indonesia
Around lebaran, tickets will be mostly sold out or triple in price. Not only in java, but most of indonesia. Everybody's going to see parents and family and then back again. I'd usually recommend hiring car & driver, but around lebaran you won't get one at a reasonable price.

comment What's the best way to take a cold shower?
I really like this question because I face this very problem at least once a year. It still takes about 3 days to get used to, but then, I really enjoy it. The main point from Aditya's answer I want to underline is "practice makes a man perfect!".

comment What is the most cost effective way to get turn-by-turn navigation in the UK?
Just saw that there are others (the first one in the link requires a connection for calculating the route, but it seems there are others that don't).

@Gilles: I think the edit is Ok, but MapFactor is really the only one I know of that is free and supports offline navigation.

comment Which is the lowest budget for a trip to Indonesian Papua?
"kina" implies Papua New Guinea. Did you visit both parts of the island?
