comment Pack of 10 tickets in Metro, Paris, can you share?
I can't help myself but the answer really looks like you have the option in every city, which is not true. In Marseille it's either a 10-journey pass, or 10 expensive individual tickets.

As a side note: If you buy the tickets at a railway station, they each are labelled with the price of the ticket. If you buy them at a metro/tram/bus stop, they don't have a price label. This may be important for someone, so I'm just sharing...

This is highly misleading, it really depends city-to-city. For instance in Marseille (the 3rd largest French city), you get one large magnetic card that can't really be shared with others.

comment Do the bus routes in Paris follow a regular pattern?
The colours were originally chosen purely to distinguish the lines well on maps (lines in similar directions have different colours). Now it's not necessarily true anymore, but that's because the lines have been modified with the colours kept intact.

comment Where is border control carried out for the Eurostar overnight Ski Train?
Well, I'd say that Lille is at the right place as well, just where both Eurostar tracks meet.

comment Passing through airport security with autism
I actually put the things in my hand luggage, so that I don't fear them getting loose from the pockets.

One small idea: Could you get access to the fast track? It's usually much less crowded and people there are much less rushing; it could be easier to explain that you want to be separated only for as short time as possible from your luggage.

comment Receive packages from Amazon.de while in Germany for 3 weeks (Tourist)
@Flimzy Asking if Amazon can ship to an address where I don't live, my name is not on the mailbox and I may be a foreigner there -- yes, that's something one doesn't encounter unless he moves is ass out of his warm chair at home.

@Flimzy This is specific to travelling people. If you don't travel, you don't need to ask this question.

comment Hotel asking cancellation fee
Getting a court order in this case has two possible and one sure consequences: If you live in Europe, the court will 100% reach you and you'll pay. If you don't live in Europe and you don't pay, you'll likely never be allowed entry. The sure thing is: Booking.com will cancel your account.

@CountIblis There is no ethical side at all, as long as the fee was listed on the booking.

But then the jacks would be TRS (at least the audio one), and not TS, see wiki.

comment How to get baggage at the carousel skipping connecting flight
@dDebug Could you try just to cancel the last leg (saying you wanna stay in Brussels) and buy a low-cost from Brussels, or even a train? There's an ICE-ICE connection via Frankfurt. I would be expensive, but could be manageable.

comment Hotel asking cancellation fee
@TripeHound That's possibly plain wrong in English, but the intention here is clear, so from the legal point of view of most countries, it means what we feel it means.

comment Am I allowed to put on my pyjamas during a long flight?
+1. Can't you just wear loose pants? I have got pants that were sold a "pyjama pants", look like sweetpants, made of flannel-like material, comfy, loose, with a waiststring to tighten them only as much as you like. I didn't wear them for flying (I don't fly overseas), but I do wear them for shopping etc. regularly.

@HenningMakholm Ah, it seems it was before 2008, sorry for that, I'll remove the comment.
