comment Travel from London to Paris or Zurich by train without a Schengen visa
Even if you found a way how to cross the Schengen boundary without a border control, it would be illegal to enter if you need a visa and you don't have it.

@JanHudec I think we agree on that point :)

I wouldn't consider CZK 2 a standard tip for a full meal. I always tend to have couple small coins in my wallet for the case when the price is 98 or 108, so that I can comfortably tip e.g. to 105 or 115.

comment French Strikes: Using idTGV ticket for standard (SNCF) TGV
@Gagravarr And were the trains like at 150% of their capacity? The ones I took were.

comment Forearm walking crutch and air travel
@pnuts I'm gladly not taking RyanAir. Anyways, the article is very manipulative (what is the context of the very last sentence, for instance?) and I completely understand the decision of RyanAir.

Ah ok, thanks, I wasn't 100% sure about the policies. I won't need a wheelchair, both T2 in PRG and T2D in Paris are quite small, barrier-free and close to the public transport :)

comment What will happen if I overstay in Sweden by 1 day?
@user1264727 I'm not sure what you mean by "is unlikely to be of convenience practically speaking" -- it solves the problem legally, and spending 2 nights in the UK might be a pleasant trip for the OP and his spouse :)

comment Crossing borders for a couple hours inside the Schengen area with a group of children
Thanks, I certainly wasn't aware that I need parents' permission for this. Don't you know please if "minors" means <15yo or <18yo?

@JonathanReez Parents' authorization is not a problem, problem is that not all <15 children have ID/passport.

comment Is sleeping on the floor in planes allowed, and if not, why not?
+1 for culture of suing. In the manual for my microwave, no prohibition of drying cats there is mentioned ;) and +1 for safety. Why only the system allows only one upvote! :D

comment Where in the world can you tour a live nuclear reactor?
Another such one is at Faculty of Nuclear Science in Prague, Czech Republic. However, I wouldn't say it "gives tours", it does, but moreorless only for local high schools.

comment What are these double prices on voyages-sncf.com?
Needed to say, sometimes the green one is almost same as the red one, sometimes even cheaper. Don't be surprised: it can happen that 1st class is cheaper than 2nd class in TGV network.

comment Talking Roissy Bus from Place Charles de Gaulle Etoile to CDG Terminal 2
+1: Metro 2 to La Chapelle and then RER B to Aeroport CDG is probably the best option. Or one can take RER A one station to Auber/Opera and then RoissyBus.

comment What is the actual (not official) size of the Ryanair “baggage sizer”?
@MarkMayo Ah sorry for not responding, pal. Unfortunately not, they don't have it at PRG and they fly from T3 at CDG while I was at T2D :-/

Frying in 2 days, if I see the box anywhere, I can try to measure it.

comment How do EU citizens claim healthcare bills in the Netherlands with the EHIC?
So: I phoned to Agis yet when in the Netherlands, and I sent them the bills and my IBAN. This week, the money arrived, and they reimboursed both the GP visit and the medication. Yay! :)

comment Tripod in Carry-on Luggage
@jpatokal Having friends amongst photographers, I tell you it's no fun when two drunk photographers start fighting with their tripods. Certainly a tripod is more dangerous than a mid-size Victorinox knive, but we all know that the air-travel security is a non-sense as it is, don't we?
