Chiang Mai Trek that doesn't feature Elephant Rides Hi Emily. I'm jealous! We had an amazing time up in Chiang Mai. Yes we did end up booking through Barking Gecko. However Barking Gecko is owned by Travel Hub (sub-program) so you can book through either. The last part of our trek ended with us staying in this Spicy Village Ecolodge for 1 night. Absolutely beautiful place: chiangmaiecolodges.com. I think our guide's name was Dang... or Dayg. And another guide's name was Samart. Trip of a lifetime :) Have fun! |

Is there any rule that a Canadian citizen entering US should have ticket back? I'm a Canadian citizen and I've entered into the US dozens of times with many different people by car with no return ticket. Never heard of anyone having a problem with it (I'm from Vancouver and live 30 minutes from the border) |

Should I book Thailand Rail tickets online (pre-trip) or at the station when I arrive? Thanks for the extra detail and it's unfortunate that I'm over 6 feet tall. Now I have something to look forward to. and WOW that's a little bit farther than 5hrs. I'm curious how long the bus ended up taking. It must have been a 20hr ride at least. |

To add to what you and Ankur have mentioned about no need to buy online; Is there any reason not to book online? It seems more convenient to just buy tickets online instead of having to wait in a line up at the station with our bags and trying to find someone who can speak english. I'm not trying to sound lazy but it seems like it would be a smoother process booking online. |

Flying with a desktop computer (as checked luggage) I've done almost exactly what Mark Mayo has posted here. I didn't even use a hard-case suitcase and I simply packed clothes around the whole desktop and monitor. Customs may ask to inspect your hardware in your carry-on but that's the only issue I had. |

Can somebody recommended a tour for the Amazon in Ecuador? @Mark I'm looking for anything worthy of seeing :) Doesn't just have to be the Amazon jungle. I will simply be passing through Ecuador on my way to Brazil and I love adventure. I don't know a lot about the area so I'm hoping to learn about what's worth seeing, and how much time would be appropriate to get a good feel for each place! |

I had considered something more direct such as "What are some adventure based destinations close to or within Cambodia in February?" but I felt that would yield similar answers. Perhaps just leaving out some of the more detailed information could make it more concise? |

How can I fly with a guitar? I bought a guitar in Italy and upon flying home via Lufthansa they simply checked it into oversized baggage. No extra cost. This was in 2004. |
