comment Rent a car in United States (Las Vegas) paying cash
I mark your answer as accepted and I improve it with what I was replied to by Alamo when I asked them the same question. "Cash payment will only be accepted upon return of the rental vehicle. In order for you to pick up you must provide the rental agent with a valid credit card or debit card in the renter's name.". So, it really seems to be hardly possible to rent a car without having a credit card

Yes Gagravarr, probably your comment could be part of a response. I found out that some agencies require additional 30 $ per day as deposit if you want to pay cash, other people tell about 1000 $ deposit. What I'm looking for is real experiences in this field or, even better, somebody employed in this field willing to explain the policy without using "maybe", "it could be", "if you are lucky" and so on.

comment Ryanair: Wearable luggage, where's the limit?
@feklee, there is a missunderstanding: I was replying to the comment of Russel McMahon who stated that Ryanair is usually unfair and unreasonable in any possible situation just because it doesn't close an eye when a person wants to bring on board a (let's say) 15 kg bag. For what concerns your question, I agree there is a gray area. In my opinion you should check if these pouches on a pals webbing could be "legally" classified as a bag. I would say so but I'm not a lawyer, so it is just guessing.

Or you could simply respect the "contract" you agreed to when you bought the ticket and you won't spend an euro more than their normal cheap price. The fact that other companies usually close an eye (or both) doesn't mean Ryanair is unfair.

sorry, I'll edit the question in order to specify when I'm planning to go. Anyway, it's going to be between late spring (May) and beginning of autumn (October).

comment How do you choose a restaurant when travelling?
@mindcorrosive, I don't agree that much with avoiding the places with the highest number of positive reviews. Usually they really are the best choice and you can always book a table in advance. For what concerns the restaurants here in Italy I would add this rule of thumb: try to avoid the restaurants with a big illustrated menu translated in english outside the door, they are usually tourist traps.

comment How long does it take for Google Maps to include a newly opened highway in its driving directions?
I agree with @mouviciel, the question doesn't seem to fit in this Q&A site. Maybe there is a better one.

comment Tourist destinations from Frankfurt-Hahn airport besides Frankfurt
I guess Cologne is a little bit too far. According to Google Maps it takes almost two hours to get there by car, so I guess that by public transport it's going to take even more. Anyway, I agree that Cologne's cathedral is a must-see.

comment Weekend in Turin or Genova?
@Jonik I don't know about the average age of the population in Genova but I guess that when you say that you feel like its glory days are long gone you refer to the sense of "disorder" that the city gives (at least to me). For what concerns the question, some people can find this feeling of "decadence" romantic (not my case anyway), that's why I said that deciding which is the best city really depends on the tastes of the user who put the question.

For the first part of your question, do you mean you'd like other information besides those in the site? I see there is an english version of the museum site but sitting in the racing cars is not mentioned there.

comment How difficult is train travel in Italy?
If I may complete lucaghera's answer, I would add that buying the ticket in advance online it is more probable to find some good offers (tickets could be available at half the normal price). Moreover, I travel from Pisa to Rome once every two week and I can say that a good alternative to the Pisa-Florence-Rome route is the "Frecciabianca" train. Direct Pisa-Rome connection that takes 2h50m and costs less than the "Frecciarossa".

comment Is it normal to have something added to the bill in a restaurant in Italy?
@mithy maybe they simply forgot to add it but it is quite unusual. There is not a particular rule: if it is reported in the menu you have to pay it. I would say that 90% of the italian restaurant have the "coperto" voice and those which haven't it have similar voice like "10% service"

@RoflcoptrException In fact all around Italy the "coperto" will be charged even if you don't touch the bread because the "coperto" is not only the bread but also the service. That's also why in Italy is not considered unpolite to leave the restaurant without leaving a tip: you are already paying the service.

@IlmariKaronen, put your comment as an answer, it is probably the most precise answer to this question.

thank you for you answer. For what concerns the Seurasaari part, do you know of any good website where I can plan the visit of the city?
