comment Is it possible to extend a 20 days tourist Schengen visa (12 more days)?
In the other two questions, an extension would have gone over the 90 day limit. This isn't the case here.

comment 220 V to 110 V voltage converter for laptops
Some electric shavers do work with both voltage ranges. It depends on the model. Laptops and phone chargers are indeed universal in my experience.

comment Where to buy an electronic ticket for the train from Krakow to Prague?
When Voyages-SNCF quotes prices in pounds, they're usually well above the normal price, in my experience. Does the price in pounds match the price in euros in this case? And does the price in euros quoted by Voyages-SNCF match the normal ticket price that you'd pay in Poland or the Czech Republic?

I have to second that. The only thing I'd fear in Cambridge is a drunk driver.

comment SNCF strike in June 2014
@Gagravarr Indeed, that all-fares-are-refundable rule only applies during the strike. The unions have to announce the strike two days in advance, but that doesn't imply that the strike will lead to much traffic disruption, so SNCF could stop applying the rule if they decide that traffic will be almost normal. But in that case, travel would be possible, so there'd be no need for a refund.

comment SNCF strike in June 2014
@Vince “Tous les billets, quels que soient les tarifs, y compris "non échangeables / non remboursables" tels que Prem's seront remboursés sans frais”. Tickets are refundable if they're for travel during the strike period or if they're a return for a trip started during the strike period. This applies to all fares (except idTGV which has different rules) as long as the strike lasts, regardless of whether the train ends up running or not.
