What to do with (small) children in Lisbon on a 5-7 hour transit layover? For transportation, a taxi is barely more expensive than public transport when there are multiple passengers. I don't know what the child seat situation is though. There are also airport buses going downtown, easier than navigating the metro with luggage and children. |

How to go from Madrid Airport to Gran Via? There may be a combination of buses that's even faster to get you to your final destination, but they're harder to navigate — I assume that if you need to ask, you'll prefer the trains. |

How to go from Madrid Airport to Gran Via? Cercanías is actually cheaper and faster. It doesn't go exactly to the right place, only to Sol, but that's pretty close. Even if you change to the Metro in the city, it's still slightly faster and cheaper than taking it all the way from the airport. |

What do many hotels have against stairs? Stick to the Netherlands, where steep, narrow staircases are the norm and lifts are exceptional. |

Availability of local train tickets in France What you wrote is true, but it does not apply to regional trains in France, most of which have no reservation at all. |

Recommendation for hotel near museums in central Munich 4 star Use an online hotel locator and comparator, e.g. booking.com (no affiliation, but I've generally been satisfied of their coverage). |

What do I need to know to go to the Palace of Versailles? @StephenP. Please read the faq: If you are not comfortable with the idea of your contributions being collaboratively edited by other trusted users, this may not be the site for you. What I added was both relevant and correct (if incomplete), so it was a perfectly legitimate edit, and I don't understand your objection. |
