Via Brazil? According to Wikivoyage there's even a bus that lets you cross between Paraguay and Argentina without passing Brazil immigration.

comment How late can I purchase Deutsche Bahn savings fare?
That depends on the fare type. I think each fare type has a hard limit. Of course you also run the risk that the quota for that fare is reached before you get around to buying the ticket.

comment Traveling through Munich Airport
@Grzenio AFAIK the airport transit visa is the only kind of transit visa in Germany (as in most of Schengen). Anything else requires a regular visitor visa (which may be only valid for the expected transit time). Other places have different types of transit visas, for example I believe Lithuania has land transit visas to cross between Kaliningrad and the rest of Russia.

comment Transit visa at sweden for syrian
@Dirty-flow At least the part about the transit visa is uncontroversially on-topic. A transit visa is squarely travel even in the most narrow interpretation of the term.

comment How do I change my TGV reservation to allow for print-at-home option?
@Frietjeoorlog Collecting a ticket at a ticket machine only works with French credit cards. If you have a foreign credit card, you have to go to a ticket window.

comment Cruise embarks in Rome, visits mainly Greece ports and disembarks in Athens where I am flying out of also, which country to apply Schengen Visa in?
@HaLaBi It doesn't matter once you have the visa, however the rule is that you must apply to the country which is your “main destination” (the place where you'll stay the most nights), or failing one from the place of first entry.

comment Is it possible to rent a car on Île des Pins in New Caledonia?
Île des Pins is a tiny island which is pretty much dedicated to tourism. You won't find any car rental chain there, only hotels renting a few cars.

@KateGregory You weren't an international-to-international transfer. Intra-Schengen flights don't count as international for this purpose; immigration control is done at your point of entry into the Schengen area.

I'm not sure if it's possible, because print-at-home tickets are nominative whereas collect-at-station tickets are not (you need to have the credit card used to buy the ticket when you collect it, but you can then give it to someone else). If it's possible, you should be able to do it from “suivi de commandes”. If you need help with the French, drop down to chat and ping me (offer valid until I go to bed tonight).

comment I recently got a long term Resident Visa for Poland can I transit through Denmark?
@hippietrail A Polish long-term visa or residence permit (the two are different, but it doesn't matter for this question) is a “Schengen visa”. All “Schengen visas” are granted by one of the countries. All “Schengen visas” allow stays for up to three months in any Schengen country.
