comment Are dogs permitted on trains in Netherlands?
@killercowuk Can't find an english version (I think the English NS site is just a partial translation of the Dutch one) but here's the relevant page in Dutch. It says pets travel for free if they fit in a bag or on your lap. If that's not the case you have to buy a day pass for €3 (price is independent of travel distance). You can buy the pass separately or upload the product too your OV chip card.

comment Best way to spend 36 hours in Dresden
This question reminds me a bit of my own question regarding Oslo. The initial problem there was that I needed to specify more what my interest were as otherwise the question would be too broad. Could you specify what interests you when visiting cities?

If you know a student from any of these countries you can ask if you could use their credentials to login on the eduroam network.

The university library does have an open WiFi network, however you can only access university websites. Not much of use for you unfortunately.

comment Can e-cigarettes / vaping set off smoke detectors?
@hippietrail If you replace hostel with supermarket or library the question suddenly wouldn't be relevant. My point is it's not an issue inherent to travel, but more to a workplace. So maybe it's more relevant at workplace.stackexchange.com

@MeNoTalk Sounds like a nice point of view, I'll suggest an edit. hippietrail: The failure is all yours.

While an interesting question I fail to see how this is relevant to travel. Is there a way you could make this more relevant?

I realise Oslo is a big city, but I'm not asking what to do in Oslo generally (which would deserve a close), but in a limited timeslot early in the day. I'm afraid adding more details (e.g. I'm interested in ancient architecture) would make it too specific. Is there any way I can make this question more suitable for Travel.SE?
