comment Buy alcohol duty-free or in US?
Are you after a specific high-end whisky, a specific lower end one, or just something cheap to sling in a cocktail / with a mixer?

comment What options exist for under 150 Euro to travel from Brussels, Belgium to Tignes, France?
It's a shame you didn't book earlier - I strongly suspect if you'd booked 90 days before when the cheap train tickets went on sale you would've been able to book it within that budget...

comment Can I get Tourist Visa for London?
I thought it was someone heading to the US from India via London, en-route to work on a boat, who fancied a few days in London rather than just 2 hours in the airport changing planes, BICBW...

comment Can I get Tourist Visa for London?
It's a valid US visa though, so wouldn't the OP be covered by that? (Official Border Agency site lists just needing a valid US visa, as does the page you linked to much further down)

comment How do I get from Tisno to Zadar airport for a 6 AM flight?
Ask around to see if anyone else is making the same journey, and share the ride with them?

Does it need to be 2 days? You'd qualify for UK transit without visa for up to 24 hours on the basis of your onward US visa, which would be much simpler than applying for a UK visa....

comment Where in Austria can I exchange Swiss Francs to Euros?
Any bank or currency exchange place should do it. Probably worth visiting a few though, as they'll likely have slightly different rates, and may well have different rules on minimum amount to change, if coins are accepted etc

comment How can I manage online a booking for a Malaysian Airlines flight issued by British Airways?
BA weren't able to help, needed to speak to Malaysian Airlines. It took rather a lot of attempts to find the right number and get through, but I do now have my seat reserved at last!

comment How to book a multi-part flight with Turkish airlines?
Have you tried asking a Travel Agent? They're normally much better than a website for complicated requests!

comment Germanwings: Bumped off flight and rebooked for flight on next day. How to make claim?
Speak to the regulator, and see if they agree if the situation was extraordinary circumstances or not (that's the threshold for them getting out of paying compensation). Sounds like you're going to have to fight this one...

If they deny you again, you'll need to escalate to your national regulator (probably the CAA, assuming you live in the UK)

I'd reply explicitly mentioning EC 261/2004, and politely requesting that they issue you with the compensation required under that. From what they have said, I don't think they qualify for any of the exemptions (though I suspect they may try to argue otherwise...!)

comment West Australia luxury beach resort
Are you aware of just how big Western Australia is? And how relative "close to" can be for people from / not from there? As in you'll meet some people from out there who'll say "we're quite near Perth, it's only a 12 hour drive"...

comment Travel Companion Programs?
Note that the Amex Plat benefit generally only applies to full-fare tickets. If you don't mind fixing your dates, you can normally buy 2*non-flexible tickets for less than the price of 1*flexible + 1*companion taxes

comment Europe on tight Budget - shoe string
You need to book a long way in advance to get their very cheapest deals, which might not work well for someone who doesn't plan ahead...
