comment Begin a flight itinerary with a transfer
Given that a delay of only a few tens of minutes on the inbound leg could lead you to miss your onward flight, it sounds rather tight for a non-protected connection/transit to me

comment Missing Flight Check In
What did your booking confirmation say about checkin closing times? That'll make a big difference to if you're out of luck or not

Why would it be any different?

comment Can I get landside transit visa while flying to US with Indian passport of US B1/B2 visa via London with 22hrs of hault?
Are you asking if you can apply for one in advance (yes!), or if you can just turn up at the UK border during your layover and ask if they'd mind giving you a visa on the spot?

It's not unheard of for pensioners, using their free local bus passes, to make long journeys using only buses (local) and not coaches. Here's one such example of a couple doing that, from one end of the country to the other!

comment passport damage to e-chip
Failed to work at the e-passport gate, or the immigration officer commented when admitting you that the chip wasn't working? (They're quite different)

comment Dublin transit visa requirements for Indian citizens
As for her intra-schengen flight, was she travelling on her own, or with you? (The rules for spouses of EU citizens vary on if they're travelling along or with their spouse)

The UK and RoI share some common immigration rules (the Common Travel Area), but not all. You'll need to look up if a UK Spouse Visa is valid in Ireland under the CTA or not

comment Travel insurance against death in Europe
If you update your question to make clear that you already have some life insurance, and want extra, then I'll delete my comments. If you have some other specific reason for wanting extra cover when travelling, put it in the question. If not, I'll be minded to answer explaining how travelling in Europe is pretty safe on a global scale, and how you'd be better off with Life Insurance to protect you in general and not just when travelling around Europe

comment Travel insurance against death in Europe
Sorry, I'm not understanding you. If you're worried about how your family would survive financially if you died, then how would it be any different if the (say) car accident was while you were on holiday, as opposed to on your way to work on a normal non-holiday day? i.e. what's special about your travels that means you'd like extra insurance for it happening then?

If you're concerned about dying and your family needing money, given that holidays aren't normally much more risky than living at home, would you not be better off taking out a general Life Insurance policy?
